Xmas Wish Lists (Updated)

I just updated mine so it's all accurate for this year now. I can't believe it's 12/1 already...

Just a few notes:

PJ pants (no shorts for me, im coooold) - I think I'll be good with a L but if they look on the small side, XL is ok too. I try to stay away from baggy pajamas because they end up all bunched up and uncomfortable when I sleep.

Mandoline: like this. That one is kinda pricey and not my favorite but I linked it just for a picture of what I'm thinking about. I want one that's not too big (no bowl attachment please) and would love it to be able to do multiple thicknesses, julienne, and dice if possible. There are tons of them out there and it doesn't need to be expensive.

Shoes: I have the hardest time finding heels I like, to wear to work. I recently bought these in black (size 7.5) and I'm in LOVE. They are the perfect height heel for me, they have a non-slip sole and they are sooo comfortable! The suede is fine but I don't really care what material my shoes are.
So anyway, you could get me another pair of these (brown maybe?) or you could try your hand at finding another pair of heels like these.

Understated necklaces/earrings: Can be any color, any material - I wear silver, not gold (regarding color only, I don't care what the metal is). This and this are examples of the type of thing I like.

i'm planning for christmas shopping early.  like, really early.  just a heads up, i'm gonna do stockings for you guys this year.  so be prepared for some candy and little toys in addition to other things.


i talked to both of you briefly about pajama pants/shorts exchange instead of socks this year.  just a single pair per sister instead of the 2 pairs of socks.  if there are preferences or concerns, lets just post them here.  :)

I am posting on here again hoping to spark some return to our fun times.

As the summer comes to a close, lots has changed for me.  Dean is out of the picture, thank god, and I am moving into a house (The one pictured above, actually) with my roommate (Dean's old roommate, who I stole), Janine.

I quit smoking.  I got a dog.  I bought hiking boots.

I am really excited about autumn baking and travelling to the mountains a few times in the next few months.  I am making a long list of things I want to do that dont include watching movies or going to a bar or coffeeshop.  I am hoping to reinvent myself, phoenix-style, and fall back in love with my life.

I miss you both terribly.

Wish we could go apple-picking.

No monkeytron

So sadly it doesn't look like I will have the money this year to go to Harry Potter Land.

(I just typed "monkey" instead of "money", because I type that word a lot.  Not sure what that says about my life.)

And speaking of monkeys, given the vast amounts of money Dean and I have had to spend on our pets in the last 12 months, we have decided that its financially irresponsible to adopt MonkeyTron.  Sad face.

BUT, I have agreed to become a foster mom for kitties, which means Fenway gets company, I get more lovey furry things, and someone else pays the vet bill.  And I don't have to commit to 20 years with yet another pet.

I love you both so much and miss you every day.
