Nice hint there - I wish we could take a road trip to see you. I think you should start trying to convince Rich that I can quit my job! hehe
I actually have a black thumb, too. Mostly because I forget to water everything :/ and I don't have a lot of windows that get good sun. Ferns love shade and I know there are a lot more but I don't know their names off the top of my head. I don't know of any food producing plants or herbs that can survive in shade but there must be some. If I come across any I'll let you know. Maybe you should start a shroom garden ;)
Still need to remember to post the pie recipe.....
